Job Summary
Assistant General Manager at Panera leading a bakery-cafe team to deliver delightful guest experiences and bakery operations. You’ll partner with the General Manager on staffing decisions, hire/onboard/train team members, manage performance to meet operational and quality standards, and drive guest satisfaction. You’ll develop managers through people processes and Panera’s guiding values, maintain cost and inventory controls, uphold safety and regulatory compliance, and foster a culture of warmth, belonging, growth, and teamwork. The role requires flexible hours including nights and weekends in a fast-paced environment, and involves coaching, scheduling, and developing staff to achieve business goals.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum age: 18 years of age
- 1+ years of restaurant management experience preferred
- ServSafe certification (or ability to achieve)
- Proven ability to drive positive results through strong business acumen
- Proven availability to run great shifts while directing, motivating, coaching and developing others in a fast-paced environment
