Job Summary
Assistant General Manager at StripSteak in Waikiki provides administrative, technical, and analytical support to Kitchen and Dining Room Management, collaborating with internal and external partners to manage restaurant operations. Responsible for leading front-of-house operations, guiding staff, training, guest service, food quality, compliance, and contributing to sales, costs, and employee retention with a focus on hospitality excellence in a 2-star Michelin-level establishment. Requires leadership, inventory management, knowledge of HR practices and labor laws, safety protocols, and experience in a high-volume fine-dining environment; knowledge of Japanese products and sushi, especially sake, and ability to analyze financial reporting; ability to lift up to 40 pounds and work >40 hours as needed. Required Qualifications
- 4 years’ experience in a fine dining high volume restaurant, with at least 1 years in a leadership role
- Basic knowledge of Japanese products and sushi, especially Sake and Japanese Whiskey
- Hospitality degree preferred
- Knowledge of safety and hygiene protocols
- Working knowledge of HR practices and labor laws
- Ability to frequently lift up to 40 pounds
- Have the stamina to work in excess of 40 hours per week
