Job Summary
Assistant General Manager at Marriott International leading property operations and guest/employee satisfaction. Responsibilities include supporting all aspects of operations including HR, financial performance, sales and revenue generation, and ROI; assisting the GM in developing and implementing property-wide strategies; ensuring brand service standards and initiatives are met; building relationships with key customers and being involved in the sales process; managing finance and accounting functions (AP/AR, payroll, end of period, banking); reviewing financial statements and performance data to drive cost reductions and program improvements; leading and coaching departmental teams, scheduling, and ensuring staffing levels meet guest expectations; maintaining licensing and permits and ensuring OSHA/MSDS safety compliance; adhering to I-9 and EEO requirements and fostering a diverse workplace.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED; 4 years experience in the guest services, front desk, housekeeping, or related professional area
- 2-year degree from an accredited university in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major; 2 years experience in the guest services, front desk, housekeeping, or related professional area
