Assistant General Manager - Marlin Bar

Job Summary
Lead and manage all front-of-house and back-of-house operations in partnership with the General Manager and Marlin Bar Chef. Maintain a culture of professionalism, accountability, and operational discipline. Assume full operational responsibility in the absence of the General Manager. Exercise independent judgment to resolve operational, staffing, and guest service issues in compliance with policy. Provide ongoing coaching, performance feedback, and development planning. Participate in hiring, interviewing, selection, promotion, disciplinary action, and termination decisions. Establish schedules and deliver structured training programs for new hires and ongoing team development. Ensure consistent delivery of elevated guest experience for both internal (team members) and external guests. Support achievement of sales, profitability, and labor targets. Management of bar ordering and inventory management. Participate in workforce planning and staffing strategies. Execute company initiatives, seasonal launches, and brand programs. Foster a positive, inclusive, and high-performance work environment.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently
- Bending/stooping/kneeling frequently
- Routine standing for duration of shift
- Experience leading front-of-house and back-of-house teams
- Experience in staffing, scheduling, and training programs
- Proven ability to coach and develop staff
- Inventory management for bar operations
- Knowledge of food and beverage service standards
- Commitment to guest service excellence
