Job Summary
Assistant General Manager responsible for overseeing restaurant operations and assisting the General Manager in decision-making on guest service, staffing, scheduling, budgeting, and compliance. Core duties include assessing staffing requirements, interviewing and training hourly staff, scheduling within budget, enforcing sanitary practices and adherence to laws and company standards, maintaining professional restaurant image, estimating food and beverage costs, working with home office for provisioning and purchasing, supervising portion control to minimize waste, ensuring positive guest service, and responding to complaints. Required skills include 4 years of supervisory experience (including alcoholic beverage service), completed Alcohol Service Training, cost controls and POS/cash handling proficiency, familiarity with Aloha POS, Compeat, Tripleseat, and Hotschedules, ServSafe or health certification is a plus, strong customer service, organization, communication, delegation, teamwork, multitasking, integrity, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. The role is salaried and exempt from overtime, with a 50-hour work week and variable hours between 8 AM and 2 AM; culture emphasizes hospitality and guest satisfaction, leadership, coaching, and alignment with the organization’s mission, vision, and values.
