Job Summary
Direct and coordinate daily Fleet Servicing operations at the Juneau Airport, supervising assigned employees and janitorial staff while ensuring compliance with safety programs, company policies, and contract requirements. Prepare, monitor, and review business reports including sales, inventory, budget, and operational data to support efficient and economical performance. Assist with employee relations by managing recruitment, onboarding, training, performance feedback, and resolving work-related issues in collaboration with the General Manager. Provide leadership coverage and represent the GM as needed to ensure continuity of operations. Obtain GSC certification within six months and maintain required airport badging. Work in an arctic airport setting involving moderate to loud noise and physical tasks including lifting up to 50 pounds.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- At least two years of experience directly related to the assigned area
- At least six months to one year of experience in a leadership or supervisory role in a similar setting
- Must be able to obtain a GSC certification within six months from the date of hire
- Must be fluent in speaking, reading, and writing English
- Ability to obtain and maintain required airport badging or security clearance, if applicable
- A suitability and capacity for a position of authority
- The ability to work toward accomplishing objectives with a sense of urgency
- The ability to work effectively with a minimum of supervision or support
- The ability to support honest and fair treatment of employees and customers
- The ability to effectively communicate performance expectations to employees
- The ability to balance multiple activities with an attention to detail
Desired Qualifications
- Preference will be given to those with two years of related training in a college, vocational, or technical school
