Job Summary
Assist the General Manager in maintaining proper controls for all hotel operations in accordance with company policies and franchise standards. Demonstrates leadership to achieve guest satisfaction, associate satisfaction, accountability and profitability. Manages payroll and purchasing controls to meet and exceed profit goals, develops short- and long-range financial objectives, and ensures high scores on customer service, cleanliness, and related inspections. Maintains knowledge of hotel features, room types, rates, availability, and expected arrivals/departures; handles guest complaints to ensure satisfaction; assists staff to provide optimum service; trains standards for cleaning and safe working conditions; leads employees to foster a productive, quality environment. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated successful leadership abilities in the hospitality industry and is knowledgeable about the property management system and local activities for clientele.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of one year of management experience in the hospitality industry
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Knowledge of budget preparation and cost controls
- Knowledge of property management system (PMS)
- Ability to communicate with guests, management and co-workers
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees
- Knowledge of local activities and attractions appropriate for clientele
- Bilingual English/Spanish a plus
