Assistant General Manager

Job Summary

Oversee daily dispensary operations ensuring compliance with security, inventory, and local regulations while managing quality product stock and financial records. Motivate team members to execute in-store promotions and deliver consistent omni-channel customer experiences across drive-thru, curbside, and delivery. Coach staff on service techniques and product knowledge to drive loyalty goals and exceed revenue targets. Lead "Leader on Duty" shifts, conduct performance reviews, and manage hourly scheduling aligned with business needs. Serve as a liaison for community outreach events and initiatives.

Required Qualifications

  • At least three years of managing teams in a retail setting, specifically with POS business operations
  • Must have reliable, responsible and dependable attendance
  • Must be 21 years or older
  • Must pass any and all required background checks
  • Must possess valid driver's license or state ID
  • Must understand and comply with the rules, regulations, policies, and procedures of Green Thumb
  • Must have a solid understanding of the Cannabis laws, rules and regulations
  • Must be proactive, with a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and strong communication and leadership skills
  • Must meet timelines consistently and be able to effectively work under pressure
  • Must be continuously open to constructive, developmental feedback
  • Must be able to maintain composure even in difficult situations
  • Must possess a high level of interpersonal skills in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment
  • Must be able to use standard office equipment and computer software including word processing, database management, spreadsheet applications, and email
  • Must be highly motivated, self-directed, innovative and able to work independently or among teams
  • Must possess keen judgment, common sense and resourcefulness
  • Must adapt and thrive in a demanding, fast-paced environment
  • Must possess a high level of critical thinking
  • Must operate with a high level of professionalism and integrity, including dealing with confidential information and complying with HIPAA requirements
  • Must be able to resolve conflict, handle employee and customer complaints, and settle disputes
  • Must have the ability to perform the following tasks for prolonged periods of time (i.e., up to the duration of a workday)
  • Must be able to move about the dispensary in order to fulfill work assignments and assist employees and patients and/or customers in various locations of the dispensary
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position, if required, up to and including in an office setting, to meet the needs of the business and complete managerial tasks timely
  • Must be able to converse and communicate with individuals and groups of people directly
  • Must be able to operate point of sale system, computer, and other office productivity machinery in order to use online programming and software including word processing, database management, spreadsheet applications and email
  • Must be able to prepare patient and/customer orders by moving and placing products
  • Must be able to inspect and receive detailed information, such as patients' and/or customers' dates of birth, in-store or online orders, or inquiries
  • Must be able to move inventory and materials weighing up to 30 pounds independently
  • Must be able to position self to move inventory and materials in storage areas

Desired Qualifications

  • Cannabis experience preferred
  • Inventory control experience preferred
