Job Summary
Assistant General Manager leads front-of-house operations under the General Manager, ensuring guest satisfaction, staff development, scheduling, and adherence to health, safety, and company standards. Responsible for interviewing and training new front-of-house staff, executing opening/closing procedures, maintaining POS systems and menu knowledge, reviewing monthly P&L, and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Requires strong guest service, leadership, financial acumen, and ability to coach a team in a fast-paced hospitality environment. Must be able to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and work a flexible schedule including nights and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years hospitality experience as an Assistant General Manager, Restaurant Manager or senior manager in a high-volume setting
- Two-year associate degree (60 credit hours) in Hospitality, Business, or equivalent work experience preferred
- Strong guest service foundation with ability to coach, build a team, problem solve, and demonstrate leadership
- Demonstrated financial acumen with P&L statements and labor models desirable
- Proficient with computers (Microsoft Products), POS and technology
- Must be able to stand, lift and bend for extended periods; able to bend and lift to 50 lbs; repetitive motion in some tasks
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends and holidays
- PCI/DSS, Alcohol Awareness, Food Handling and Gaming Registration (where applicable)
