Job Summary
Support the General Manager in developing an authentic team and upholding top-tier customer service, cleanliness, and culture across the club. Provide a welcoming experience for members and guests by sharing information about memberships, fitness programs, amenities, and equipment, while guiding the team through elevated member concerns and emergent facilities issues. Lead daily operations including cleaning tasks, membership sign-ups, retail transactions, smoothie service, labor management, turnover, and quality assurance. Partner with the GM on recruiting, performance reviews, coaching, and cross-departmental communication with fitness, maintenance, and Home Office. Complete administrative duties such as reporting, email management, scheduling, and inventory maintenance.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent
- 2+ years of team leadership or management experience
- 2+ years of previous customer service experience
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to cultivate a positive environment and develop a strong team
- Effective problem-solving and critical thinking skills with strong attention to detail
- Organized and accountable, able to set, reach, and prioritize goals
- Ability to work varied hours, weekends, and opening/closing shifts as needed
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Team-based mindset with the capacity to receive and deliver feedback
- Ability to read, write, and communicate clearly in English
- Ability to walk, bend, kneel, reach, and perform repetitive arm and hand movements
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to operate a telephone, computer, and other standard office equipment
- Ability to safely lift and carry up to 50 pounds independently and heavier loads with assistance when needed
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check
