Job Summary
Manage store merchandising, operations, and inventory control while ensuring financial efficiency and proper merchandise presentation. Directly supervise Receiving, Customer Service, Maintenance, and Sales Departments, overseeing staffing, interviewing, training, performance appraisals, and weekly scheduling. Open and close the store, assuming full responsibility when the General Manager is absent, and implement company advertising and marketing initiatives including pricing, features, and visual presentation. Audit reports, manage cash, control operating expenses, and analyze customer and business analytics to drive metric goals. Maintain a clean, safe environment and provide legendary customer service by identifying needs and making product recommendations.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5+ years in big box, high volume management
- Responsibility for one or more Sales Departments
- Receiving experience
- Front End experience
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, commissions, and percentages
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
- Ability to interpret a variety of other financial, legal, and technical information
- Ability to read and analyze certain reports
- Ability to write reports and business correspondence
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from Managers, associates, customers, and the public
- Ability to conduct meetings and presentations to groups
- Proficiency with PC-based word processing, spreadsheets, data-based management and electronic point of sale and inventory management systems
- Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, associates, customers and with the Base Camp support staff
- Demonstrated use and understanding of servant leadership and team concept of management
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
