Job Summary
ASSISTANT GENERAL MANAGER at Azzip Owensboro: Partner to the General Manager, hands-on leadership of shifts, and primary on-site responsibility when GM is absent. Lead pizza-making, customer service, and a spotless dining room while coaching and developing team members. Responsibilities include hiring support, opening/closing the store, resolving customer and employee concerns, ensuring store cost controls (food, payroll, and other controllable costs), placing nightly/weekly vendor orders, and fostering a fun, positive, and high-standards work environment. 30+ hours per week including evenings and weekends. Starts at $19.90+ per hour (base $16.90 + $3 tip guarantee) with benefits including Paid Time Off, a free pizza every shift, and health care benefits. Development and growth opportunities exist; 90% of current AGMs started as hourly team members.
Required Qualifications
- 21+ years of age
- Flexibility to work at least 30 hours per week including evenings and weekends
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds
- Ability to relate to and understand others within the team
- Strong work ethic that inspires others to increase their effort
- Create accountability for team-based tasks and goals
