Job Summary
Lead, coach, and develop swim instructors while teaching at least one lesson shift weekly to maintain high standards for safety and curriculum. Serve as Manager on Duty, manage staff scheduling and recruitment, and facilitate monthly trainings to align the team on service expectations. Build relationships with families to support retention, convert trial lessons, and address service concerns professionally. Maintain a clean, safe facility and ensure daily operations, including pool and pump room checks, meet brand standards. This full-time role includes seasonal rhythms with weekends and closing shifts, offering flexibility for personal commitments alongside a salary of $42,000-$45,000 and 75% employer-paid health insurance.
Required Qualifications
- Previous leadership, management, coaching, aquatics, childcare, fitness, hospitality, retail, or customer service experience
- Strong communication skills and comfort speaking in front of a group
- Comfort supporting sales goals, customer retention, and revenue-focused conversations with families
- Ability to lead, coach, and hold a team accountable
- Reliable transportation
- Eligible to work in the United States
- Ability to work one weekend day and two closing shifts per week
- Willingness to teach in the water and become fully trained in the Aqua-Tots curriculum
