Job Summary
Supervise Guest Services, Food & Beverage, Food Production, Engineering, Accounting, Sales, and Housekeeping departments to ensure efficient hotel operations and guest satisfaction, particularly during the absence of the General Manager. Direct the work of at least three full-time associates, correct deficiencies across departments, and assist in revenue generation programs by participating in sales calls and evening functions. Manage personnel development through bi-weekly one-on-ones with Department Heads, implement corporate training programs, and oversee recruiting and hiring for Guest Services based on occupancy. Create financial reports for the Corporate Office, maintain procedures for the hotel safe including monthly audits, and ensure adherence to brand standards for appearance, safety, and service protocols.
Required Qualifications
- At least 5 years progressive experience in a Rooms or F&B department Hotel
- 4-year college degree and at least 2 to 3 years experience in a Rooms or F&B department at a Hotel
- 2-year college degree and at least 3 to 4 years of experience in a Rooms or F&B department at a Hotel
- Previous supervisory experience
- Proficiency in Windows Operating Systems
- Ability to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately
- Ability to work well in stressful high-pressure situations
- Ability to maintain composure and objectivity under pressure
- Ability to be effective in handling problems in the workplace including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving problems as necessary
- Ability to assimilate complex information data etc. from disparate sources and consider, adjust, or modify to meet the constraints of the particular need
- Ability to be effective at listening to, understanding, clarifying, and resolving the concerns and issues raised by co-workers and guests
- Ability to work with and understand financial information and data and basic arithmetic functions
- Ability to convey information and ideas clearly
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
