Job Summary
Supervise operating departments including Guest Services, Food & Beverage, Housekeeping, and Engineering during the absence of the General Manager or Manager on Duty. Ensure efficient hotel operations by correcting deficiencies across departments and participating in required M.O.D. coverage. Assist with revenue generation programs, sales calls, and the creation of financial reports while meeting all corporate deadlines. Develop managerial and hourly employees through bi-weekly one-on-ones and implement corporate training programs. Maintain high standards of personal appearance, compliance with brand regulations, and service orientation during peak hours.
Required Qualifications
- At least 5 years progressive experience in a Rooms or F&B department Hotel
- 4-year college degree and at least 2 to 3 years experience in a Rooms or F&B department at a Hotel
- 2-year college degree and at least 3 to 4 years of experience in a Rooms or F&B department at a Hotel
- Previous supervisory experience
- Proficiency in Windows Operating Systems
- Ability to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately
- Ability to work well in stressful high-pressure situations
- Ability to maintain composure and objectivity under pressure
- Ability to be effective in handling problems in the workplace including anticipating preventing identifying and solving problems as necessary
- Ability to assimilate complex information data etc from disparate sources and consider adjust or modify to meet the constraints of the particular need
- Ability to be effective at listening to understanding clarifying and resolving the concerns and issues raised by co-workers and guests
- Ability to work with and understand financial information and data and basic arithmetic functions
- Ability to convey information and ideas clearly
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
