Job Summary
Supervise operating departments including Guest Services, Food & Beverage, Housekeeping, and Accounting during the Manager on Duty's absence to ensure efficient hotel operations. Direct the work of at least three full-time associates by correcting deficiencies, implementing corporate training programs, and facilitating bi-weekly one-on-ones with Department Heads. Assist the General Manager with revenue generation programs, sales calls, and the creation of financial reports while maintaining strict adherence to Aimbridge Hospitality standards for safety, appearance, and service. Participate in required M.O.D. coverage and monthly safe audits, ensuring recruiting and hiring for Guest Services align with occupancy levels. Maintain composure under pressure and handle complex workplace problems independently.
Required Qualifications
- At least 5 years progressive experience in a Rooms or F&B department Hotel
- 4-year college degree and at least 2 to 3 years experience in a Rooms or F&B department at a Hotel
- 2-year college degree and at least 3 to 4 years of experience in a Rooms or F&B department at a Hotel
- Previous supervisory experience
- Proficiency in Windows Operating Systems
- Ability to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately
- Ability to work well in stressful high-pressure situations
- Ability to maintain composure and objectivity under pressure
- Ability to be effective in handling problems in the workplace including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving problems as necessary
- Ability to assimilate complex information data etc. from disparate sources and consider, adjust, or modify to meet the constraints of the particular need
- Ability to be effective at listening to, understanding, clarifying, and resolving the concerns and issues raised by co-workers and guests
- Ability to work with and understand financial information and data and basic arithmetic functions
- Ability to convey information and ideas clearly
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
