Job Summary
Supervise Guest Services, Food & Beverage, Food Production, Engineering, Accounting, Sales, and Housekeeping departments to ensure efficient hotel operations during General Manager or Manager on Duty absences. Direct the work of multiple associates, correct operational deficiencies, and implement corporate training programs while managing bi-weekly one-on-ones with Department Heads. Assist with revenue generation programs, sales calls for evening functions, and the creation of financial reports meeting corporate deadlines. Maintain strict adherence to Aimbridge Hospitality standards, including dress code, safety regulations, and certification requirements for Food Handlers, Alcohol Awareness, and CPR. Participate in required M.O.D. coverage, conduct monthly safe audits, and ensure recruiting and hiring for Guest Services based on occupancy levels.
Required Qualifications
- At least 5 years progressive experience in a Rooms or F&B department Hotel
- 4-year college degree and at least 2 to 3 years experience in a Rooms or F&B department at a Hotel
- 2-year college degree and at least 3 to 4 years of experience in a Rooms or F&B department at a Hotel
- Previous supervisory experience
- Proficiency in Windows Operating Systems
- Ability to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately
- Ability to work well in stressful high-pressure situations
- Ability to maintain composure and objectivity under pressure
- Ability to be effective in handling problems in the workplace including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving problems as necessary
- Ability to assimilate complex information data etc. from disparate sources and consider, adjust, or modify to meet the constraints of the particular need
- Ability to be effective at listening to, understanding, clarifying, and resolving the concerns and issues raised by co-workers and guests
- Ability to work with and understand financial information and data and basic arithmetic functions
- Ability to convey information and ideas clearly
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
