Job Summary
Assistant General Manager role with Advance Auto Parts focusing on P&L analysis, boosting DIY/DIFM sales, and leading store operations. Responsibilities include coaching, scheduling, customer service excellence, battery and wiper service operations, inventory and POS systems, and driving profitability. Requires knowledge of automotive systems, ability to train staff, and strong Microsoft Office skills; ASE/P2 preferred. Education includes at least a high school diploma with a Bachelor's degree preferred, and 2-3 years of team-management experience in retail. Growth in profitability and service quality through leadership and process execution.
Required Qualifications
- 2-3 years of experience managing a team of 10–20
- High school diploma or GED
- Experience in a retail environment
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
- Ability to review and analyze business reports (P&L)
- English fluency (Spanish a plus)
- Knowledge of automotive systems andParts lookup systems
- ASE certification preferred but not required
