Job Summary
Supervise Guest Services, Food & Beverage, Food Production, Engineering, Accounting, Sales, and Housekeeping departments to ensure efficient hotel operations during General Manager absence. Direct the work of at least three full-time associates, correct deficiencies across departments, and assist with revenue generation programs and sales calls for evening functions. Manage personnel development through bi-weekly one-on-ones with Department Heads, create empowered decision-making environments, and prepare financial reports for the Corporate Office. Maintain strict adherence to Aimbridge Hospitality standards, including dress code, safety certifications, and service protocols, while participating in required M.O.D. coverage and recruiting for Guest Services. Work flexible hours based on hotel needs to support daily diagnostic imaging coverage including guest satisfaction and cost control initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- At least 5 years progressive experience in a Rooms or F&B department Hotel
- 4-year college degree and at least 2 to 3 years experience in a Rooms or F&B department at a Hotel
- 2-year college degree and at least 3 to 4 years of experience in a Rooms or F&B department at a Hotel
- Previous supervisory experience
- Proficiency in Windows Operating Systems
- Ability to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately
- Ability to work well in stressful high-pressure situations
- Ability to maintain composure and objectivity under pressure
- Ability to be effective in handling problems in the workplace including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving problems as necessary
- Ability to assimilate complex information data etc. from disparate sources and consider, adjust, or modify to meet the constraints of the particular need
- Ability to be effective at listening, understanding, clarifying, and resolving the concerns and issues raised by co-workers and guests
- Ability to work with and understand financial information and data and basic arithmetic functions
- Ability to convey information and ideas clearly
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
