Job Summary
Define Sanofi's internal legal positions on drug pricing and government programs, including 340B, PBM reform, and MFN implementation. Monitor legislative and regulatory developments to translate analysis into actionable recommendations for senior leadership. Serve as day-to-day legal lead for a portion of the 340B program, managing HRSA Administrative Dispute Resolution proceedings and ensuring consistent policy positions. Proactively identify and develop affirmative litigation and advocacy opportunities while advising on litigation risk and strategic implications. Partner with market access, public policy, and government affairs teams to design defensible internal programs and represent Sanofi in trade associations and regulatory engagements.
Required Qualifications
- J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school
- active bar membership in good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
- Minimum 8 years of experience as a practicing attorney
- substantial experience in complex litigation (through discovery, dispositive motions, and/or trial)
- experience in developing and executing legal or policy strategy at a global company, government agency, trade association, or top law firm
- Demonstrated ability to master complex, unfamiliar subject matter quickly
- ability to exercise sound judgment before becoming a subject-matter expert
- Demonstrated strategic thinking, creativity, and sound judgment
- track record of shaping positions and strategy, not just executing on settled ones
- Strong executive presence and communication skills

Desired Qualifications
- Working knowledge of the 340B Drug Pricing Program
- familiarity with Best Price, AMP, and ceiling price concepts
- Direct 340B experience (contract pharmacy, duplicate discounts, diversion, HRSA ADR proceedings)
- Experience with, or working knowledge of, PBM reform
- working knowledge of, Most Favored Nation (MFN) policy
- working knowledge of, Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) drug price negotiation
- working knowledge of, related drug pricing reform issues
- Experience litigating constitutional claims
- Experience litigating statutory and regulatory challenges
- Experience litigating Administrative Procedure Act (APA) matters
- Experience engaging with trade associations, government agencies, and/or state attorneys general on policy or litigation matters
- A federal appellate clerkship
