Job Summary

Structure, draft, and negotiate complex commercial agreements for DeFi, digital assets, and index licensing. Advise product, innovation, and commercial teams on emerging blockchain initiatives, novel business models, and regulatory developments affecting decentralized finance. Collaborate with legal, product, and technology leaders to review marketing materials, manage external legal resources, and support compliance with policies on confidentiality and insider trading. Assist in responding to requests for proposal and customer due diligence. This role sits at the intersection of traditional financial markets and emerging decentralized ecosystems, helping shape legal frameworks for index construction in tokenized markets.

Required Qualifications

  • J.D. or LLM
  • admitted to practice law in any of the states listed within the location
  • 6+ years' legal experience
  • focus on commercial contract negotiation and drafting
  • Demonstrated interest in and familiarity with financial services and investment products
  • familiarity with decentralized finance
  • familiarity with digital asset regulation
  • familiarity with digital asset ecosystems
  • familiarity with blockchain infrastructure
  • familiarity with tokenized assets
  • Familiarity with data licensing
  • Familiarity with intellectual property principles
  • Familiarity with business technology
  • Excellent drafting skills
  • Excellent negotiating skills
  • Excellent communication (both written and spoken) skills
  • Capability to manage high-volume, complex environments
