Job Summary
Draft, structure, and negotiate complex commercial agreements including supply, distribution, licensing, and strategic partnership deals. Serve as a trusted advisor to senior business leaders across commercial units, providing proactive counsel on corporate and transactional matters. Drive legal strategy for new product development and innovation programs while managing regulatory and compliance risks specific to the medical device industry. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver integrated legal solutions that protect company interests while enabling growth. Operate at both the strategic and tactical levels to manage multiple high-stakes matters simultaneously. Requires a J.D. and active state bar membership. Minimum of four days of in-office presence required per week.
Required Qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- active membership in good standing with a U.S. state bar
- Significant experience in corporate and commercial/transactional law
- demonstrated expertise in complex agreement drafting and negotiation
- Deep knowledge of commercial contracts across multiple deal types—supply, distribution, licensing, collaboration, and strategic partnerships
- Experience advising and counseling business clients on a range of transactions
- providing practical, business-oriented legal guidance
- Familiarity with the medical device or life sciences industry
- including regulatory frameworks
- Proven track record as a hands-on lawyer
- who can operate at both the strategic and tactical level
- Ability to manage multiple high-stakes matters simultaneously
- in a fast-paced, global environment
- Prior in-house experience at a Fortune 500 or large multinational company
- Background in supporting innovation, new product launches, or R&D-driven business units
