Job Summary
Serve as a key point of contact for questions regarding firm policies, procedures, and ethics requirements, advising on professional responsibility, confidentiality, and compliance matters. Work closely with Risk Management, AI & Knowledge, and IT departments to develop best practices for AI tools and data management. Complete special projects as assigned by senior members of the Office of General Counsel and Risk Management team. Promote a collaborative culture within the OGC by helping manage and train other attorneys and staff. This role supports the Office of the General Counsel and Professional Responsibility Committee, ensuring consistent use of AI tools and efficient information governance.
Required Qualifications
- Juris Doctorate
- Active law license in good standing in at least one state
- Eight+ years of experience in a law firm
- Expertise in ethical use of AI
- Principles of sound Information Governance
- Strong knowledge of professional responsibility rules
- Knowledge of law firm operations
- Outstanding judgment
- Diplomacy
- Communication skills
- Ability to gain the confidence and respect of partners, associates, staff, management, and clients
- Ability to provide clear and concise information under strict deadlines
