Job Summary
Oversee facility operations and multiple departments including Finance, Booking, Food & Beverage, Operations/Events, and Human Resources to ensure alignment with strategic goals and drive performance against business metrics. Execute operational strategies, analyze data and market insights, and establish goals that support long-term strategic planning and organizational positioning. Directly supervise employees in the Stockton Complex, managing hiring, training, performance appraisals, and conflict resolution while maintaining compliance with all applicable laws and safety standards. Negotiate contracts with vendors, promoters, and tenants, and lead the development of annual budgets, capital projects, and preventative maintenance plans for building infrastructure. Serve as acting General Manager when needed and maintain flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- At least five (5) years of relevant industry experience
- Three (3) years in a management role within an arena, theater, or similar venue
- Equivalent experience to the above
- Expertise in operations
- Expertise in contract negotiation
- Expertise in finance
- Expertise in HR
- Expertise in labor relations
- Demonstrated leadership and strategic planning capabilities
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills
- Knowledge of live events, sports, and entertainment industries
- Ability to manage high-pressure situations, including crowd management
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, and operate independently
- Proficiency in data analysis and performance metrics
- Experience managing facility operations within a public assembly venue, arena, convention center, theater, stadium, or similar entertainment facility
- Ability to work with limited supervision
- Ability to work flexible and extended hours, including nights, weekends and holidays, in addition to normal business hours
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Capability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Flexibility to work indoors and outdoors as needed
- Must be available for evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
Desired Qualifications
- Working knowledge of normal business applications such as Windows 10, Microsoft Office, Adobe, et cetera
