Job Summary
Assistant Foreman in Roche Bros., Inc. hardscape construction based in Frederick County, MD. Full-time onsite role focusing on retaining walls and other hardscaping projects. Responsibilities include operating Skid Loader, Excavator, Bulldozer, and Roller; performing laborer duties when not operating equipment; setting elevations with grade laser tools; reading and laying out work from construction drawings; executing complex on-site tasks with precision; enforcing safety standards; utilizing the company truck to transport materials; maintaining equipment cleanliness and readiness; communicating field issues and potential improvements to supervisors. Requires 2+ years hardscaping experience, operation of construction equipment, ability to interpret plans, strong safety practices, teamwork, and bilingual ability a plus.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of hardscaping experience, particularly with retaining walls, patios, walkways, and similar projects
- Proven skill and strong proficiency in the operation of construction equipment
- Demonstrable ability to interpret and execute plans and elevations from construction drawings
- Highly safety-conscious individual with a commitment to maintaining safety practices
- Excellent teamwork capabilities and strong communication skills
- A valid driver’s license is strongly preferred to operate company vehicles
- Ability to communicate in both Spanish and English is a plus
