Job Summary

Assistant Football Coach/Offensive Coordinator at Alfred University responsible for assisting the head coach with organization and management of a NCAA Division III football program. Responsibilities include teaching and coaching student-athletes, mentoring for academic and personal success, meeting recruiting goals, civic engagement, budgeting and scheduling, fundraising, and developing positive alumni and parent relations. Duties span developing strategies and techniques for all phases of the sport, planning and evaluating practice and competition, maintaining team philosophy aligned with educational mission, supervising staff, maintaining ethical conduct, fostering effective communication with student-athletes, monitoring academic progress, implementing a recruiting plan, cultivating a recruiting network, managing recruitment data, ensuring NCAA/Empire 8 compliance, and participating in professional development and department initiatives. Qualifications require a Bachelor’s degree with at least four years of collegiate coaching/playing experience, strong organizational, communication, and integrity skills, and willingness to work nights and weekends.
