Job Summary
Assist the Head Coach in all aspects of the football program, including practice planning, game strategy, and player development. Provide direct instruction and coaching to student-athletes in specific position groups or skill areas as assigned. Help create and maintain a positive and disciplined team culture that emphasizes sportsmanship, teamwork, and respect. Organize and supervise practices, games, and other team activities while ensuring the safety and well-being of all student-athletes under supervision. Manage equipment inventory, maintenance, and organization. Attend required coaches' meetings and professional development sessions, adhering to all school district policies and Colorado High School Activities Association regulations. Communicate effectively with players, parents, other coaches, and administration. Perform other duties as assigned by the Head Coach and Athletic Director.
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrated knowledge of football techniques, strategies, and safety practices
- Valid First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Must pass a background check as required by the school district
- Possession of or willingness to obtain required CHSAA coaching certifications
Desired Qualifications
- Previous coaching experience at the high school level or equivalent preferred
