Job Summary
Supervise, train, and manage the facility food service operation, including hiring, orienting, and issuing corrective actions to team members. Review and approve weekly payroll while maintaining accurate inventory for planned menu schedules. Ensure food items are stored safely, orders are completed accurately, and all reports are filed on time. Oversee preventive maintenance, comply with local, state, and federal regulations, and maintain a sanitary environment per Health Department codes. Plan special events by meeting with customer facility staff and participate in contract negotiations as needed.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Two years of management or supervisory experience in a food service position
- Three years of experience working in food service
- ServSafe Certification
- A valid driver's license
- Experience with purchasing, inventory, ordering and receiving
- Knowledge and experience managing and applying kitchen sanitation and safety standards and methods
- Knowledge of basic accounting and mathematical abilities to complete necessary reports
- Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications and with food service management systems
Desired Qualifications
- Prior institutional food service or restaurant experience
