Assistant Food & Beverage Manager

Job Summary
Oversee and control the food and beverage operations and ensure adherence to the standards set by hotel management. Translate decisions from the F&B Manager to subordinate staff, manage all functions of the F&B Department, monitor quality and service, and drive sales and costs performance. Lead recruitment, training, and performance development; organize meetings and plans with department managers to deliver successful outcomes. Develop training programs for department staff, coordinate promotional activities to increase sales, safeguard materials and equipment, and ensure food safety, environmental responsibility, and energy/waste reduction. Maintain strong relationships with suppliers, support quality management and food safety systems, and generate reports on schedules and performance.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field
- At least 10 years of experience in the hospitality/F&B industry
- English language proficiency
- MS Office literacy
- Knowledge of laws and procedures related to F&B operations
- Experience managing an F&B department
- Experience in recruitment, training and performance management
- Experience with food safety and quality management systems
- Ability to plan, organize and lead a department
- Strong supervisory and interpersonal skills
- Customer service orientation
- Budgeting and cost control experience
- Promoting energy efficiency and waste reduction practices
- Ability to prepare and present reports
- Understanding of promotions and banquet coordination
- Training program development and delivery
- Knowledge of supplier management and procurement
