Job Summary
Lead front-of-house operations for the restaurant, Breakfast, and Banquets & Catering, flexing between outlets based on business levels and events. Serve as the primary operational leader for Banquets & Catering and Breakfast, maintaining a strong visible floor presence to support associates, engage guests, and ensure successful service execution. Conduct pre-shift meetings, provide hands-on coaching, and oversee event setup, staffing, and adherence to service standards. Actively monitor guest experiences, solicit feedback, and manage service recovery while partnering with culinary, sales, and event teams. Support short-term planning, forecasting, budgeting, and labor management, ensuring compliance with brand standards, food safety, and alcohol regulations. Mentor associates and students as part of the hotel's Teaching Hotel Mission.
Required Qualifications
- More than two years of post high school education
- One to two years of employment in a related position with this company or other organization(s)
- Excellent comprehension for assisting with guest and associate matters
- Working knowledge of basic banquet and meeting A/V setups, with the ability to assist with equipment setup and troubleshoot common issues during events
- Vision required for seating guests, expediting food, cleaning equipment, reading floor plans, charts, schedules
- Must have excellent oral communication for communicating with guests and associates, issuing instructions and communicating policies
- Excellent comprehension required to read and implement policies and procedures; writing schedules and reading forecast and SOPs
- Must have knowledge of chemicals/agents for training purposes
- Ability to lift, push, pull and carry tables, chairs, trays, plates, and chaffing dishes on a daily basis, 20 -40 lbs
- Bending -Bend to pick up dropped items as needed. Bend to assist in serving food or getting supplies
- Mobility -95% of shift covering all areas of outlets supervising
- Continuous standing to assist at hostess station -minimal stationary standing
- Climbing stairs -varies by location
