Job Summary
Conduct on-field coaching for the fall non-traditional and spring traditional seasons under the supervision of the Head Flag Football Coach. Complete additional duties as assigned by head coaches or the Executive Director of Athletics. Participate in significant campus activities including Welcome Weekend, True Blue Weekend, and Commencement Weekend. Comply with all applicable NCAA, Empire 8 Conference, and College rules and regulations by passing the NCAA Rules Test. Maintain a professional demeanor at all times while providing academic guidance and mentoring to student-athletes. This part-time, non-exempt role requires CPR/First Aid/AED certification, a clean driving record, and strong time management skills. Applicants must submit a cover letter, resume, and three references with supervisor annotations.
Required Qualifications
- Must complete and pass the NCAA Rules Test
- Clean driving record and a valid drivers' license
- CPR/First Aid/AED Certification
Desired Qualifications
- Playing and/or previous coaching experience preferred
- Strong interpersonal, organizational and time management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of the sport
- Being up to date with safety, rules and regulations and proper certifications
- Ability to provide academic guidance and mentoring to student-athletes
- Ability to multi-task and handle a job with a daily change of pace
- Ability to use independent action, estimating skill, memory, and problem-solving skills
