Job Summary
Conduct personalized welcome workouts for new members, evaluate their fitness needs, and guide them through their initial club experience to foster retention. Drive sales by promoting personal training packages, achieving targets for services and small group sessions, and building strong rapport with members. Lead the team to ensure daily targets are met, particularly during weekends or when the Fitness Manager is not present. Supervise facility maintenance, ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, and facilitate professional development for personal trainers through regular coaching. Collaborate with the membership sales team to support onboarding and establish a smooth transition into the club experience.
Required Qualifications
- 2-3 years of customer service experience
- 1 year of sales experience
- 1 year of supervisory experience
- Prior experience or strong interest in the fitness industry
- Strong communication skills, both verbally and in writing, for interacting with members, personal training clients, employees, management, and vendors
- Excellent relationship building and influencing skills with people at all levels and in all functions
- Strong detail orientation; systematic and thorough approach to problem solving; and good time management, organizational, and record-keeping skills
- Excellent MS Office skills
- Must be available to work nights and weekends
- Must successfully pass background check
- Must have a valid Personal Training certification
- CPR certification required within 30 days of hire
- Ability to bend routinely and repetitively to lift more than 40 lbs
- Ability to access and operate the Company computer system including preparing documents, entering data into computer system, read reports from a computer data base or email system
