Job Summary
Assistant Field Layout Engineer responsibilities include taking direction from the QC/Field Layout Manager, establishing building corners and permanent reference points, laying out wall/column/anchor bolt pattern center lines for correct installation, setting and maintaining benchmarks and control lines, verifying elevations during concrete pours, performing as-built surveys to identify conflicts, reading drawings to identify required dimensions, coordinating shop drawings, maintaining calibration of engineering equipment, compiling as-built documents, and traveling up to ~60 miles daily as projects require.
Required Qualifications
- Five (5) years of experience as a tradesperson in construction.
- Graduation from relevant trade school with certificate in surveying.
- Or equivalent combination of the above education, training, and experience.
