Job Summary
Assist Farm Manager in day-to-day operations of horticulture division; oversee orchard activities, supervise farm team, coordinate machinery operations and preventative maintenance, participate in harvest planning and budgeting, ensure safety, quality, and compliance, and step into Farm Manager role as needed. Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills; experience in almond orchards or perennial crops preferred.
Required Qualifications
- 3–5 years’ experience in farming operations, ideally within almond orchards, tree nuts, or other perennial horticultural crops
- Strong understanding of horticultural practices, farm operations, and machinery/equipment management
- Proven leadership capability, with the ability to supervise, motivate, and develop team members
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills, with solid literacy, numeracy, and record-keeping ability
- Commitment to safety, compliance, and continuous improvement, with the ability to work autonomously and step into leadership as required
