Job Summary
Assist Farm Manager in maximizing Grow Out Farm productivity and profit by planning, organizing, directing, and controlling activities in assigned brood or grow facility to meet customer specifications. Assist in training employees, maintaining livability records, managing flocks, planning farm work, monitoring environmental conditions, enforcing sanitation and biosecurity procedures, ensuring safety and policy compliance, and supporting pest and equipment maintenance. The role requires 24/7 availability on a 7-day schedule, including weekends and holidays, with emphasis on teamwork, operational efficiency, and adherence to company policies. Base pay is within the stated range and depends on experience and location.
Required Qualifications
- Good work history and stability with previous employment (1 year minimum)
- Valid driver license with good vehicle operating records
- Good physical condition (able to wear eye and respiratory protection for extended periods)
- Ability to twist, stoop, bend, squat, lift, and carry at least 50 pounds
- Willing to work 7 days/week up to 2 weeks at a time
- Good math ability to perform farm inventory and other record keeping tasks
- Good mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand tools to perform minor repairs and maintenance activities
- Ability to work effectively and efficiently without supervision
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
- Four years of experience in poultry with responsibilities and standard performance results (preferred)
