Job Summary
Provides direct care for at-risk youth in a family-style living environment, guiding youth on skills and behaviors, and supporting moral, spiritual, and educational development. Responsibilities include safety and boundary adherence, crisis intervention, collaboration with courts and schools, documenting progress and incidents, teaching Boys Town values, supporting academic success, and participating in family-home program activities while maintaining budgeting and operational duties within the home. Knowledge and skills emphasize youth care, safety procedures, effective communication, and relationship-building with youth, families, and professionals.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent is required
- Minimum 21 years of age
- Possess a valid driver's license with a good driving record
- Pass an annual Motor Vehicle Registration (MVR) check
- Demonstrate CPR and nationally recognized personal restraint model must be obtained during pre-service training
