Assistant Facility Maintenance Manager

Job Summary
Hands-on maintenance leader overseeing and coordinating facility maintenance activities across the site. Leads and trains direct reports, ensures compliance with safety, fire, risk, environmental, and health programs, manages CMMS-driven workloads, collaborates with the Facility Maintenance Manager on priorities and budgets, guides future capital expenditure projects, coordinates electrical maintenance, supports energy efficiency projects, and participates in site projects with the Energy Management department. Must be able to operate in a fast-paced environment, provide performance feedback, and drive operational excellence while ensuring equipment and systems remain safe, efficient, and fully operational.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- 3 years facility maintenance management experience
- Experience working on and around ammonia, Freon and/or CO2 refrigeration systems
- Demonstrated proficiency with Process Safety Management and Risk Management Plan regulatory requirements, program implementation, and compliance oversight
- Demonstrated proficiency in mechanical and electrical fundamentals and applications
- Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization
- Ability to work in temperatures as low as -20 Fahrenheit/-25 Celsius in cold storage sites or up to 100 Fahrenheit/37 Celsius in dry storage sites while wearing PPE and freezer gear
