Assistant Facilities Manager- Technical

Job Summary

Manage all outsourced technical services and JLL personnel, including electromechanical maintenance for UPS, HVAC, generators, and electrical systems. Develop building procedures, ensure adequate material supply, and enter into approved service contracts. Routinely inspect contracted services against SLAs and scorecards, while coordinating with landlords on snag closures and waste management. Manage vendor relationships through monthly reviews, contract resource oversight, and timely payments. Assist in compiling MIS reports, contributing to quarterly business reviews, and supporting cost-saving initiatives. Lead proactive and reactive maintenance planning, conduct cross-facility audits, and coordinate weekend activities per the preventive maintenance calendar. Raise and follow up on building incident reports, manage inventory for FM equipment, and provide physical signoffs for invoices.

Required Qualifications

  • Technical graduate (EEE, Mechanical)
  • At least 7/8 years on hand and management experience within working with Industry & corporate clients on Facilities Management
  • Strong communication skill on English
  • Ideally degree qualified or associated higher FM related qualification
  • Practical working knowledge of up-to-date FM tools and techniques within a facilities Management environment
  • Quality Management system development or auditing experience
  • Experience of investigating incidents and reporting objectively
  • Ability to carry out an audit and gather objective evidence through observation, interview and sampling of documents and records
  • Ability to work unsupervised and take positive action to resolve issues on own initiative
  • Self-motivated with the ability to enthuse and manage multi-cultural teams and management
  • Ability to research and generate policy and strategy
  • Team player, strong business acumen
  • Ability to work through and identify the root cause of any problem
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Solid organisational skills, analytical ability and communication flair
  • Excellent PC skills, proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation, codes of Practice, guidance and operating procedures
  • Ability to keep abreast of trends and related best practice
  • Influencing/negotiation skills with the ability to adopt different styles depending on the circumstances
  • Identify conclusions or approaches to problems
  • Systematic approach with good attention to detail
  • Interest in continuous improvement and development of new technologies
  • Good organisational skills, ability to balance competing demands and to meet deadlines

  • Manage all outsourced tech services and Jones Lang LaSalle personnel
