Job Summary
Oversees daily kitchen utility operations and staff, including dishroom, night cleaning, back dock cleaning and maintenance, and banquet plating/food running. Supervises kitchen employees not actively engaged in cooking, leading day-to-day operations, inventory, and adherence to budgets. Develops guest and employee satisfaction by maintaining quality service, training staff, coordinating with vendors, and ensuring proper food handling and sanitation certifications. Participates in recruiting, hiring, and payroll-related activities, and supports financial management of the department, including budgeting and managing controllable expenses. Emphasizes teamwork, communications, and service excellence to achieve department and property goals.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED; 4 years experience in the procurement, food and beverage, culinary, or related professional area
- 2-year degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major; 2 years experience in the procurement, food and beverage, culinary, or related professional area
