Assistant Event Operations Manager

Job Summary
Conduct room function inspections, verify banquet room and restaurant readiness, and set tables according to event documentation and service standards. Lead shift teams, coordinate daily stand-up and pre-shift meetings, and delegate tasks to ensure room sets meet specifications on time. Communicate guest meal requirements, allergies, and special requests to the kitchen while verifying centerpieces and china presentation. Manage departmental inventories, order supplies, and schedule staff to forecast and service standards. Handle guest problems and complaints, train staff in processes, and assist senior managers with financial and administrative duties.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 2-year degree from an accredited university in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major
- 2 years experience in food and beverage, culinary, guest services, front desk, housekeeping, or related professional area
- If no standard educational background, at least 3 years of experience in two of the following areas of hospitality to include food and beverage, culinary, guest services, front desk, housekeeping, or related professional area
- Knowledge and understanding of OSHA regulations
