Job Summary
Assist Equipment Technician in repairing and maintaining motorized golf-course equipment, including engines, brakes, transmissions, differentials, and mowing equipment. Perform overhauls and servicing of automotive and powered equipment, replace tools/parts, conduct lubrication, and assist in electric and gas welding. Inspect equipment for operating deficiencies, make routine adjustments, and support Equipment Manager with maintenance tasks. Must demonstrate mechanical dexterity, knowledge of gasoline/diesel/electric systems, and ability to work with others in a cooperative environment; requires valid driver’s license and ability to work outdoors and handle equipment up to 75 pounds.
Required Qualifications
- Requires working knowledge of general operation of gasoline, diesel and electric equipment
- Knowledge of proper methods of servicing golf course equipment
- Working knowledge of the repair and adjustment of power mowing equipment
- Requires mechanical dexterity and usage of common mechanical tools
- Ability to maintain cooperative working relationships with other employees and the public
- Requires the ability to understand and follow oral and written direction
- Requires a valid driver's license
