Job Summary
Oversee daily operations of the Engineering department, including assigning, prioritizing, and tracking work orders for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and life safety systems. Support preventative maintenance programs, inspect property conditions, and coordinate with vendors for specialized repairs. Lead the Engineering team in the Director's absence, managing scheduling, training, and performance while ensuring compliance with safety and brand standards. Maintain accurate records, manage department budgets, and foster a culture of accountability. Available for evenings, weekends, holidays, and on-call rotation.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 4+ years of experience in engineering, maintenance, or a related field
- Minimum 2+ years of leadership experience
- Strong working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general building systems
- Proven ability to lead teams and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to analyze problems, identify solutions, and execute effectively
- Flexible schedule — must be available to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and on-call as needed

Desired Qualifications
- Previous hotel or luxury hospitality experience
- Experience with preventative maintenance systems (e.g., HotSOS, Synergy, or similar platforms)
- Knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, and capital project planning
- Technical certifications (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or related trades)
