Job Summary
Assistant Engineer to join Glasgow bridge team working on a wide range of bridge and structures projects, producing engineering designs, calculations, reports, and drawings, attending site visits and client meetings, and contributing to dissemination of engineering good practice. The role supports professional development toward Chartered Engineer status, with hybrid office/home working and emphasis on collaboration, multidisciplinary teamwork, and adherence to UK/Euro standards.
Required Qualifications
- A degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (BEng, BSc, MEng, MSc) and has a clear ambition to work towards Chartered Engineer status
- Experience working in an engineering environment (e.g., industry placement or professional role)
- Be familiar with either UK standards or equivalent European or Euro Codes
- Possess an understanding of CDM Regulations, specifically the designers' requirements
- Be able to demonstrate a deep understanding and interest in engineering and a personal commitment to technical excellence
- Have the ability and willingness to work in a diverse and multi-disciplinary team
- Be able to demonstrate good communication skills and teamwork
