Job Summary
Devise, deliver, and evaluate training for professionals while supporting projects across the Educational Psychology and Inclusion Service from initial planning to evaluation. Work directly with children, young people, parents, and school colleagues to gather, analyse, and interpret data that informs service development. Develop project specifications, plans, and deliver work within agreed timescales, supporting key functions including decision-making panels, team meetings, and case allocations. This 36-hour part-time fixed-term role runs until March 2029, offering candidates a pathway to professional doctoral training within Brent's Educational Psychology Service.
Required Qualifications
- A good honours degree in Psychology providing Graduate Basis for Chartered Membership of the British Psychological Society (BPS)
- Relevant post-graduate experience working with children and young people, for example within an educational setting
- Knowledge of and interest in developmental psychology, education and Special Educational Needs
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the confidence to work flexibly with children and adults
- The ability to initiate and progress project work independently
- Strong ICT and data analysis skills
- Creativity, initiative and a genuine desire to make a difference for children and young people
- Commitment to pursuing a career in Educational Psychology
- Intention to apply for a recognised professional doctoral training programme during their employment
- Understanding of and ability to contribute to an inclusive working environment
- Commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion
- Ability to promote inclusive, non-discriminatory practices in their work
