Job Summary
Write and edit articles for Medium, maintaining strict adherence to style, tone, and accuracy guidelines. Repurpose long-form content into concise summaries for social media and generate visual assets to accompany blog posts. Supervise a team of journalists by reviewing drafts, providing feedback, and managing editorial workflows within Asana. Compile monthly department updates and report progress to the Editorial Manager while monitoring industry trends. This volunteer role requires 8-10 hours per week and is open to female identifying individuals based in the U.S., Canada, or neighboring countries.
Required Qualifications
- Availability to volunteer 8-10 hours per week
- Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency with AI generation, Google Docs, Slack, and Asana
- Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, or a related field
- Minimum of two years of editing experience
- Must be based in the U.S., Canada, or neighboring countries within a time zone difference of no more than three hours
- This role is best suited for individuals seeking a longer-term volunteer opportunity (12+ months preferred)
