Job Summary
Assistant Editor is responsible for technical and organizational editorial work from pre-production through post production, maintaining an efficient editorial pipeline, and assisting editors. Responsibilities include keeping Avid projects organized, managing storyboards with Flix, importing layout/animation/lighting shots, logging and prepping dialogue (scratch dialogue, production recordings, ADR), outputting movie files for turnovers to sound, DI, and music departments, organizing sound effects and music, assisting with Avid builds for screenings and QC, publishing to production (EDLs and change notes), providing timely information to production, assisting in retake sessions, and uploading needed screeners to PIX.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years experience in animation editorial
- High degree of proficiency in Avid Media Composer
- Excellent organization skills with great attention to detail
- Understanding of feature animation pipeline and workflows
- Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines while working under tight schedules
- Strong teammate with good interpersonal and interpersonal skills
