Job Summary
Provide support to a team of Junior Kindergarten teachers and students within the school day and lead the after-school care program for young learners aged 3 to 5. Support ECE students in play-based learning activities, supervise children during lunch and outdoor play, and prepare instructional materials and classroom displays. Ensure the space remains clean and organized for learning while participating in school events such as Sports Day and ECE concerts. Take initiative to seek out tasks and collaborate with colleagues to facilitate the positive growth and development of young girls in a nurturing environment. This one-year fixed-term contract begins August 31, 2026, with a daily schedule from 9:45am to 5:45pm.
Required Qualifications
- Early Childhood Educator Certificate or Diploma
- Valid BC ECE Certificate
- Ability to legally work in Canada
- Capacity to be creative, flexible, and patient
- Strong communication skills
- Dedicated attention to the care and safety of young children
- Commitment to the integration of school routines and learning in a childcare setting
- Highly organised with attention to detail
