Job Summary
Assistant Driller assists in planning and executing drilling operations for main and auxiliary well centers; ensures drill crews are properly assigned and kept informed of plan changes; oversees maintenance of drilling, hoisting, and mud circulating equipment; reads gauges/meters, maintains records/logs, and supports Driller and Toolpusher; provides leadership, mentoring, and performance feedback to direct reports; enforces company policies and safety while coordinating with service partners and ensuring compliance with well programs and rig move plans.
Required Qualifications
- Three (3) years offshore experience
- Completion of all training and certification requirements for the Assistant Driller position as described in the company's offshore training matrix
- Knowledge of all technical calculations required for the safe operation of the drilling unit and control of the well
