Job Summary
Assist to provide leadership, direction and support to Youth Leaders and members in Kawakawa Youth division; help with administration, developing newsletters, consent forms, etc; support the division in working toward the Regional Business Plan; promote attendance at required courses, meetings, and training workshops; contribute toward sharing information and training within the division; encourage involvement in competitions, events, community services, and collaboration with other divisions; ensure activities are suitable, relevant, and aligned with policy; support youth succession planning; the role offers a fantastic opportunity for hands-on youth development, leadership, and community engagement while delivering fun and adventurous activities.
Required Qualifications
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational, planning and time management
- Aptitude for working with a diverse demographic group e.g., age, culture, background
- Active team player with a keen interest in working with young people
- Natural talent for thinking and working outside the square
- Must be able to use a computer and have access to the Internet and E-Mail
- Contribute a minimum of two hours per week to the role and attend overnight camps from time to time
