Job Summary
Conduct rigorous training in criminal law, procedure, and ethics, then rotate through entry-level bureaus including Intake, Criminal Court, Domestic Violence, and Appeals to gain immediate courtroom experience with arraignments, calendar calls, misdemeanor hearings, and trials. After completing the rotation, move to a Felony Trial Bureau for dynamic responsibilities at crime scenes, conducting line-ups, and pre-arrest investigations under supervision. Participate in events with the Community Partnerships Division and receive continuous advocacy training. Many assignments include evening, weekend, and holiday responsibilities. A three-year commitment is required, with a salary of $85,000 initially rising to $90,000 upon bar admission.
Required Qualifications

- New York State residency
